Eggnog Crunch Bread

Directions

1Preheat oven to 350. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbles. Place 1/2 cup mixture in small bowl. Stir in nuts & spices and set aside. Add eggs, eggnog and vanilla to remaining dry mixture, stir until well mixed. Pour 1/3 of batter into a greased 9 x 5 in loaf pan. Sprinkle with 1/3 crumb mixture, repeat twice. Bake 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool on baking rack.

2 C all purpose flour

1 C firmly packed brown sugar

2 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. salt

2/3 C unsalted butter

3/4 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

2 eggs

1 C eggnog

2/3 C chopped walnuts
